I got a job, so now my art is going to be neglected even more. I've been working on something new, but haven't had much time to do anything with it. I haven't finished the faerie because I got a new laptop and still don't have photoshop on it. Hopefully I'll be able to remedy that soon.

I'm happy with the new job though. I'm working as a front desk clerk at one of the nicer hotels here in Kirkland. Today is my fourth day working there, and I love it. Even on the slow days, it feels like the time just flies by. I'm sure that once I start working shifts by myself it will be different, but so far I'm having a great time. Perhaps those slow days will be good for my drawing. My boss said that I can bring stuff in to do when it's slow, so I figure taking my sketchpad would be a good idea. If I take a book to read, I'm liable to ignore the phones, lol!

Leif and I are doing great. We haven't had much time to spend together since I started working, but it's worth it because I know that I won't have to solely depend on him to support me financially, and that's a big deal for both of us. We want to be able to save money up to eventually buy a house together, and that takes both of us having income. He makes good money, but not enough for me to be able to stay home and still be able to save.

He is the sweetest man I've ever known. He called me at work last night, just before my shift was over, to tell me that he wanted to take me out to dinner. He said he felt bad because he should have taken me out to celebrate my new job sooner. I just laughed and told him that it wasn't a big deal, but it was really sweet of him anyway. I am so in love with that man. He makes me feel so good about myself, and he's always doing little things to make me happy. I wonder if he realizes that just being with him makes me happy. He's quite an inspiration in my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Anyway, I have to start getting ready for work. I just wanted to stop in here and update a little. I have never been so happy in my whole life. It's amazing.
